Snow Day continued

More pictures from the great "blizzard" of 2010...

One of our neighbors had a sled that they let us borrow.  The boys loved sledding down the"hill" of their front yard.  Norfolk is the flattest town east of Iowa so we don't really have any good hills. Luckily, we rarely have snow so this isn't normally a problem. 

Because the snow was so powdery, it wouldn't pack well enough to make a vertical snowman but Billy and Jack managed to construct a JV version into the slope of our front yard....

Thank goodness for friends that live within walking distance!  Jack's friend Sabrina came down to play.  Sabrina's very crafty momma constructed a homemade sled out of a tupperware lid and the kids spent all afternoon sledding down our front yard and climbing back up the "hill."   From the smiles on their faces, you'd think we were sledding the mountains of Switzerland.

Will warmed up to the idea of the snow, although for some reason, anytime he was left to his own devices, he crawled off into the street.  Never down the sidewalk or to someone else's house - always to the middle of the road.  It's like he knew this was the only time he would be able to play there.
