End of the season

Billy asked me yesterday why I hadn't yet written my apres-Super Bowl post on how miserable I was that football season was over. Usually my feelings of despair this time of year are slightly tempered by the fact that we're smack dab in the middle of basketball season. But when your team is in 12th (that's right, twelfth) place in the ACC, it's awfully hard to be filled with the basketball spirit.

So I watched the Super Bowl with more dread than usual, knowing that after the NCAA tournament I will have nothing to watch until that glorious day that the first pre-season game is played.

While it was indeed a great game, it wasn't as good as the Giants' victory last year. Speaking of which, some of us were clearly in denial about who was playing in the Super Bowl this year....
